Material safety data sheets for consumables and reference materials used with SPECTRO instruments.
Always obtain safety data sheets from SPECTRO directly. SDS documents are revised as regulations and formulations change, and an out-of-date sheet can be dangerous. We deliberately do not mirror them here — a copy on this site could silently go stale.
What you will find there
Safety data sheets cover the consumables and reference materials supplied for use with SPECTRO instruments — argon and plasma gases, calibration standards, electrodes, sample-preparation media and cleaning agents. Each sheet lists hazard identification, handling and storage, exposure controls, first-aid measures and disposal.
Cannot find a sheet?
If you need an SDS for a specific consumable or lot and cannot locate it, contact us with the product name and, where available, the lot or batch number. We will obtain the current sheet from SPECTRO for you.
Instrument safety
XRF instruments emit ionising radiation and are subject to regulatory requirements in India, including AERB registration where applicable. Arc/spark and LIBS instruments carry optical and electrical hazards. Operators should complete training before use — see training courses — and follow the instrument manual's safety section.
